Munich and Regensburg accomodation

Pensione Garnerplatz — is virtually opposite the, very discrete, U-Bahn exit [] on Klenzestraße. The Pensione proved to be an apartment and set of rooms on the first and second floors above a trendy café. The room was spotless with Alpine motifs on cupboards and bed heads. After stowing our bags in our room, we ventured out and it started raining and did not stop for the duration of our stay in Munich.

The Hotel Goliath am Dom, named after a mediaeval mural on the building opposite on Goliathstraße, is a fab, groovy hotel. The hotel has big rooms, great on-suite facilities, great buffet breakfast, and a street level terrace for people watching and top-floor terrace for sundowners and Altstadt views. Our only caveat is that the in-room air-conditioning could have been more powerful []. The bathroom has a glass wall between the shower and bedroom, however discretion was maintained as it steams up very quickly.
